Lumid uses a group-supervision approach, where groups of six to eight students meet with their supervisor.

Lumid has eight supervisors: Martin Andersson, Agnes Andersson Djurfeldt, Tobias Axelsson, Olle Frödin, Ellen Hillbom, Moira Nelson, Martin Prowse, Christopher Swader. The programme has continuously evolved in order to secure proper alignment with the latest research findings as well as the ever-changing demands of future employers. The examiners are headed by a head examiner, Anders Uhlin, the Department of Political Science. The Masters thesis covers twenty weeks of study and should ideally be based on the data collected during the field-based courses, especially midm18.
